Beth Seltzer
Senior Instructional Technologist and Project Manager, Stanford Introductory Studies Operations
Beth Seltzer works as an Academic Technology Specialist with Stanford Introductory Studies (SIS), housed in the Office of the Vice-Provost for Undergraduate Education (VPUE). Beth works with programs across Stanford Introductory Studies. She consults with IntroSems and Think faculty on integrating digital assignments and techniques into their courses, supervises and leads professional development tech workshops for Thinking Matters Tech Coordinators, helps students participating in the IntroSems Plus program create digital portfolios, and manages a tech budget and loan pool.
Beth joined Stanford in 2019. Previously, she worked as an Educational Technology Specialist at Bryn Mawr College, where she coordinated the Digital Competencies Program, and at the University of Pennsylvania, where she worked as a project manager of the Early Novels Database and on other projects.
She holds a PhD in English Literature with a Certificate in Instructional Learning and Technology from Temple University. Her interests include digital pedagogy and scholarship, career preparation for humanities students and PhDs, and the impact of emerging technology on higher education.
